Meals 4 Monologues at Actors Pro Expo Virtual 2024
Casting Society Cares, the non-profit charitable arm of CSA, and Actors Pro Expo are proud to be hosting Meals 4 Monologues at this year’s event.
We’ve created this guide, to support actor’s trying to secure a time slot for Meals 4 Monologues at this year’s virtual expo. We hope it helps!
1. Pre-Register Your Interest
The first step is pre-registering your details on this form to receive the booking email to secure a time slot for Meals 4 Monologues. Please be aware, filling out this form does not guarantee you a time slot. The form is just to collect your details, so we can ensure that you are emailed booking link on how to secure a time slot for Meals 4 Monologues.
2. Set Your Alarm!
On July 12th at 4pm BST (11am ET/8am PT) an email will be sent out with a booking link, to allow you to book a specific time slot, in your preferred virtual room. Please note, this time slots go very, very quickly so make sure you are online and ready to book!
At the point of booking, you will need:
Your bank card to make the £1 donation to book your space (this money will be split equally between our 2 Go Fund Me pages)
Your Spotlight/Actors Access/Backstage link (any casting website) that we can share with the panel (just 1 link per person)
Please note: your space is not guaranteed, until you receive a confirmation email, and it is not secure until you have finished making payment, so be quick.
3. Prepare Your Monologue
The panel will have the casting website link you have provided at the point of booking, so you can now focus on getting a monologue prepared!
Please make sure your monologue is no longer than one minute, and it can be from a book, play, TV show, film (anything!) and you can use a script, or it can be self-written. Most importantly, use a monologue you connect with, enjoy playing and is within the time limit.
You will have 5 minutes inside the audition room with your panel, so this leaves 4 minutes for feedback from the panel and a short chat!
4. Research Your Panel
Spend time researching the panel you will be performing in front of, to help you feel more confident! All the panellists can be found on our website here: https://www.actorsproexpo.com/performance-opportunities/ and your confirmation email, should let you know which Casting Directors are in which room!
5. Join Actors Pro Expo Virtual
Meals 4 Monologues is an opportunity for actors that are attending Actors Pro Expo Virtual, so please do enjoy the rest of the expo and all the fantastic seminars, networking, exhibitors and more available over the 3-day virtual expo.
All attendees need a “General Admission” ticket to gain access to the virtual expo, this just covers the cost of the software we use (Whova)
Once you have your general admission ticket, you can access the expo here and sign in with the email address you booked your ticket, and your Meals 4 Monologues slot with.
You will find Meals 4 Monologues inside the agenda, and there will be a link within the system that you will need to click 5 minutes before your time slot.
Please be patient if we are running behind and remain in the Wait Room.
6. Donate To Our Go Fund Me Page
At this year’s virtual expo, we are fundraising for two fantastic, and worthwhile charities – Acting For Others and Feeding America. All participants of Meals 4 Monologues are encouraged to donate to their chosen charity, to help support our goal of raising much needed funds to support their work. Please note, donating money does not guarantee you a Meals 4 Monologues slot.

Given the high demand for slots, setting up alerts and reminders can be incredibly helpful! However, please remember at the heart of this operation are 2 charities we are raising money for, so good luck with securing your time slot and if you don’t get lucky this year, we’ll be back next year with another opportunity!
Thank you to Casting Society Cares, the non-profit charitable arm of CSA for providing the opportunity of Meals 4 Monologues, and for all the Casting Directors volunteering their time to watch actors and raise money for our charities. Thank you to all the actors who are participating this year, and best of luck!
