Acting Classes In London – The Actors Class

Acting Classes In London – The Actors Class

The Actors Class gives Actors the chance of a regular Acting Class in London. Led by Industry Professionals with a wide breadth of experience in Theatre, Tv, Film and Casting.

These classes will keep you fit and focused as an Actor – A chance to practice, gain confidence and contacts in a professional, supportive working environment. The Actors Class was founded & is run by Actress Mary Doherty & has now been running for 11 years. It consists of 10 Week Courses: Foundation, Intermediate & Advanced – And once completed the Advanced you have an opportunity to audition for the West End Showcase as part of the 10 Week Industry Course.

THE WHY:

In America, Actor’s take regular Acting classes to keep their skills sharp – here in the UK, we tend to train at the start of our careers & then we begin auditioning & often leave the classes behind. This can make the journey of moving through our careers rather lonely, especially if doors aren’t opening & most of your energy is being spent on the ‘out of work’ jobs, it’s easy to lose your confidence & momentum. I wanted to create a space where Actors can do what they love – Acting! Every week. I wanted Actors to feel that sense of community again, that they are surrounded by like minded people going through exactly the same things. And to create a room where each Actor feels inspired & at the same time, challenged to do their best work in a really supportive & energised atmosphere. To have a mentor that can individually tailor the experience to each Actor, that can also help with the business end of things, like Showreels & Headshots & the whole package.

HOW WE DECIDE WHICH COURSE IS RIGHT FOR YOU:

Many factors go into choosing which Course is the right fit for an Actor – Inc: Whether they have trained with us before and are returning / Spotlight or CV & Credits – Experience / Agent Representation / Past Training / Matching the Actor to the group / What the Actor is looking for.

COURSES THAT WE OFFER:

Foundation, Intermediate, & Advanced – 10 Week Courses.

We also run an Industry Course with West End Showcase; Auditions for this, is only open to our Alumni who have already trained with us & have completed

the Advanced Course.

Once in Alumni – We also run The Actors Class Gym – Where you can take part in 1, 2 or 3 day Workshops with Industry Professionals.

HOW LONG ARE CLASSES & HOW MANY ACTORS PER CLASS:

Classes are 3 Hours, once a week. With just 12 Actors.

HOW TO APPLY:
